The world of blogging

First we had emails then webpages, then mobile phone texting.. and now we have blogs.
This shows how the world has changed in communicating with people over the last 20 years.
Instead of endless conversations over the phone/email, communication has shifted to the computer screen..

They say there is a book inside everyone.. well.. bloggers have let that book out.

I personally started blogging when all my friends started following the trend..

Blogs can showcase the personality of the blogger..it also helps your friends to be updated with the happenings in your life...
Most importantly, blogs change people for the better... many of my friends infact, were shy bloggers when they first started out-- they couldnt find anything interesting to write about.. but within a few weeks into blogging, they became more confident about what to write about..

But now when i think of it.. blogging has its share of disadvantages too...

The whole world may be reading your blog.. c'mon..its the internet..
Most people don’t have very much to say that’s interesting, and/or are unable to write down their ideas in a compelling and clear manner.

Sometimes, bloggers cant write about everything that is happening in their lives.. its hard, what will society think of you when you write about something too personal.?
and most of the time, its hard to write about your opinions on political issues..look at where it got that chinese dude chua cheng zhan..
i read up on blogs and one of the writers said quote '' never ever write about political issues on blogs.. its bound to get you into trouble'.. its true
you have to watch what you write..

We are being pummeled by a deluge of data and blogs are therefore spaces in which to reflect our ideas..
All in all, i think blogs are a great way to showcase your personality to the world and they are a great way to improve yourself, but one must keep one eye open about the disadvantages that comes with it..
