**Mind you im sure white people are great and locals too! its just that.. people over here tend to make a big deal out of them.
Why do asians cater to their every fancy?
well.cos of their white skin obviously..that because of their fairer complexion, 'cool' accent, they're somewhat better than us..if you were to bring a man straight out of india, you wouldnt get that kind of reaction..which ..is sad.. in all its superficiality.

and yeah, if whites act weird it'd only be because all of a sudden they're exotic!
and it's prolly a kick to feel special..

I myself have seen locals 'worship' whites in singapore before. Im sure many of you would have read in the newspapers about how a white was treated so differently from a local in a similar situation. Both the whiteman and a local wore shorts to a formal hotel, but the local was not let in whereas the white man was.

I think that locals areat fault too. It may not necessarily be the white mans fault. im sure if you had people fluttering all over u all the time, teasing and flirting and making you feel like a king, pretty soon you'd just sit back and enjoy the attention.

I read this article a few months ago, which was actually written in october last year.
It was a white man talking about his experience with the locals over here. He stated that a few years back, he had an incident in an MRT train, while talking to a chinese girl.
He told her that he was from a town in North Dakota( i cant really remember the exact name), but he mentioned that it was actually a very poor town where people lived almost below the poverty line. Howver when he told the chinese girl where he was from, she said " wow it must be a great place to live in''

Singaporeans have this mentality that whites from america are extremely rich.

When he asked her how singapore was, she replied
Quote '' 'Hell no. Singapore is so low-class. I prefer the USA''

He also went on to say later in the article that wherever he walked around in singapore hand in hand with a blonde american babe, other americans would just give him a warm look. However it was different in the case for the Singaporeans because they treated him like 'god'.

Even when you go to clubs, you can see some singaporean girls making out with white men thrice their age. I mean, what do they have that able bodied asian men do not?

Looking and reading through all of these, and from my own experiences,I think we should start to come out of the shell and not just respect someone because of the colour of their skin, or their cool accents, but to respect them for who they are, whether, white,black or asian.

(PS: Different people may have different views about this, i am just stating my point of view)
